The Syllabus
(don't worry - I grade on a curve)
I always loved going back to school.
For the record - the first day excitement was never about the schoolwork (that enthusiasm, unfortunately for my parents, never really showed up). It was about seeing my friends and the lead-up of a new grade. Late August as a middle schooler meant long calls on the landline about homeroom assignments and half-hearted attempts at summer reading.
I’m laughing now at how excited I got for the annual Staples run with my favorite babysitter and best friend. 711 slurpees in hand, supply lists ready, we’d pick out new mechanical pencils, textbook covers, and locker décor. Were the locker mirrors and magnets unnecessary? Sure, but try telling me that then.
That same excitement still shows up every year around this time. Only now it’s not about school supplies at Staples, it’s about the staples in my closet. So let’s flip open the course catalog.

Extra Credit
And of course, to bump you up to that A+ I’m giving a few newly added event looks.
